Siemens release gear motor drive is suitable for material handling applications

OFweek Industrial Control Network News: Siemens recently released the Sinamics G110M motor integrated drive for Simogear gear motors, which features flexible control, overall safety and a shape design that can make full use of space. The driver features IP66 protection and is designed for material handling applications such as conveyor belts, warehousing, logistics, baggage and cargo handling, and mail and parcel transportation. In addition, it can also be used in automobile manufacturing, equipment and test bench industries.

The Sinamcs G110M motor enables designers and system manufacturers to integrate gear motors into a variety of control mechanisms. The airborne Icano plug connection ensures fast installation, while the optional power connector saves more time. The system can be pre-installed and the driver provides simple but comprehensive airborne diagnostic functions. Optional parts such as internal brake resistors, motor brakes, comprehensive features and limit switch functions make the G110M suitable for conveyor applications.
